Where Am I From?

I am from A quiet cul-de-sac atop a loud bustling neighborhood

I am from fantasies of unicorns and princesses

I am from loving rich and creamy chocolate

I am from pavlova for Christmas

I am from wishing for a white Christmas

I am from racing the birds to wake up

I am from a soccer team that has been through wins and loses

I am from imaginary puppies

I am from screaming love songs and loud laughter

I am from failed trust falls

I am from a too small house and a renovation plan that does not want to finish

I am from shoes that constantly untie themselves

I am from drooping and melting Ice cream from Mr and Mrs

I am from that sensation you get when you score a goal

I am from a long hill toward “the park” grass stained knees from soccer

I am from attempting everything I can

I am from putting off big projects to the last minute

I am from shared Snacks

I am from pulling apart tiny Mike and Ikes in to minuscule pieces

I am from strangers thinking I’m shy and my friends knowing I can’t stop talking

I am from getting lost in a book and not being found till I’m done

I am from dreams changing every second

I am from people being cruelly judged by how they Identify

This is where I’m from
