it is what you want and what you believe is it

it could be a progressive nation fighting oppression

or a conservative country trying to control people

America could listen to foreign issues and take action

or turn its head the other way on global problems

it could be a country leading the world with inventions

or barely keeping up with other nations

America could be empowering people to speak their mind

or America could be silencing the masses

America could be a role model for everyone

or the exact opposite, showing people what not to do

it could be holding up the law and making everyone equal

or taking advantage or the poor and favoring the rich

America is what you think it has been, what it is, or what it will be
