Vindictive Victor woke up on a sunny day, with vengeful feelings in his heart. Vindictive Victor got out of bed. He heard a crack and started to squeal; he had stepped on his glasses.
“OW! You stupid floor!” he said. “If you weren’t there my glasses wouldn’t have been able to fall on anything and they wouldn’t have cracked!”
Immediately Vindictive Victor wanted revenge so he started to punch the ground. His foot was cut but he cared more about getting revenge than tending to his foot. Now there was a dent on the ground, and he decided to go downstairs. He put some toast in the toaster and some eggs on the frying pan. When the toast popped out it was burnt! He threw the toast at the wall and yelled, “Why did you have to be burnt! I will get you back for this!”
He then went off to his job as a cook. Vindictive Victor was looking forward to a day of getting revenge on everyone who didn’t leave a 15% or more tip to the customers. When Vindictive Victor arrived, his assistant cook, Don Pepe Covetous, who was always admiring and wanting other peoples’ stuff, was arguing with someone. Vindictive Victor saw all the jewelry and luxurious things this stranger had and immediately thought Don Pepe was just trying to buy something the stranger had. As Victor got closer he could easily tell they were arguing about something different.
“Is this even legal?!” Don Pepe said.
“I talked to the regional manager of Burger King and we made a deal, so yes, it is,” the stranger said. Vindictive Victor didn’t know what to think of this.
“Ah, I’m glad you’re here,” the stranger said. “You too will be fired from your job, I am replacing Rolex with La La Luxury, founded and managed by me, Lavish Laila.”
Instantly Vindictive Victor wanted revenge! Lavish Laila was so rich and luxurious she had bought almost every store in town! How could Laila do this to us, he thought.
“Alright then,” Laila said, “off you go.”
Vindictive Victor and Don Pepe Covetous left the mall stomping on the ground on their way out.
“What do you think we should do?” Vindictive Victor said.
“I’m not sure,” Don Pepe said, “but I know we have to do something.”
Vindictive Victor thought for a moment and then said to Don Pepe,“Well, we have to do something vengeful so what if we made a company called Style for Sybarites?”
“So we can become a bigger company then La La Luxury?” Don Pepe replied.
“Yeah!” Vindictive Victor said mischievously.
A couple of days later they had done it; they had made a company bigger than they had imagined. Style for Sybarites was now an extremely popular company. Don Pepe and Vindictive Victor discussed the plan. They would go to La La Luxury today and buy the store back. As they walked to the store Vindictive Victor thought how good it would feel to finally get revenge on Lavish Laila. He had so much anger inside of him; he was so vengeful like always. When he saw Lavish Laila his face was red with fury. When Lavish Laila saw them she looked the same as always, lavish.
“Hey Laila,” Vindictive Victor said, “we’re replacing La La Luxury with Style for Sybarites!”
“What?” Lavish Laila said.
“You and your employees need to leave this building now just like we did when you bought Burger King.”
Lavish Laila fell to her knees and started crying; she didn’t know what it was like to be at rock bottom. At the same time, Vindictive Victor was feeling something new as well, he was feeling sorry for Lavish Laila. He reached out his hand and offered to help Lavish Laila up and Lavish Laila accepted.
Lavish Laila wiped her tears and then said, “Thank you.”
Vindictive Victor thought for a couple of seconds and then said, “What if we split the property?”
“Really?!” Lavish Laila yelled.
“Yeah.”
“That would be amazing!”
For the first time ever Vindictive Victor forgave someone. Vindictive Victor felt good about forgiving Lavish Laila.
The next day Vindictive Victor woke up. He noticed that his clothes were all dirty but he thought to himself, “At least I have clothes.” He went downstairs to have breakfast. He put toast in the toaster and eggs on the frying pan. When the toast popped out it was burnt, like always. Vindictive Victor knew that the toaster was doing what it was supposed to do, so he wasn’t mad at the toaster. Vindictive Victor decided that maybe he could be a little less vindictive and a little more forgiving. He decided he would only get revenge when he had a logical reason.
