Hi I’m Alexa, I’m 19,I live with my mom in the amazon rainforest. There’s big trees and animals everywhere. It’s 6pm and I’m Looking at a magazine about places to travel to over the summer. I see this place with big buildings.
I look at the title and it says “Come and enjoy a lovely time in New York over your summer break! It looks sooo fun and I really want to go, but before I can look into it more my mom says “ Alexa time to eat your dinner” I close the magazine and head to the kitchen.
Dinner smells delicious and I think it’s a good time to ask my mom if i can go to NewYork city. So at dinner I’m eating my mashed potatoes and I ask my mom “Can I please go to New York City for a few months? I’m getting tired of living in the jungle. My mom stops eating for a second and I think she is either feeling Angry or surprised.
Then she says “ But Alexa I thought you liked it in the jungle”, I do but I want to go someplace new, then my mom says “I’ll think about it but for now finish your food. I finish eating my yummy mashed potatoes and when I go to bed I really hope that I get to go to New York.
The next morning me and my mom are playing uno and I ask her if she will let me go to New york. After a long conversation she finally says yes as long as I text her every day and I agree that. Even though I’m 19 my mom is still VERY protective.
The next morning I head to the airport with my mom. We get breakfast at the airport because my flight doesn’t leave till 9:00 am. It is 7 am so we have a lot of time before our flight because my mom insisted that we leave early because she doesn’t want me to be late for my flight.
When it is finally 9 I get on the plane and say goodbye to my mom. The plane is very nice and it smells like cupcakes (which is good). I finally found my seats and ordered some soda. It tastes very visy. Then I check the screen/tv in front of me and it says that it will take about 12 hours and 2 minutes to get to new york. It sounds like a long flight so I decided to fall asleep “zzzzzzzzzzz”.
When I woke up It has already been 7 hours. Next I watch a marvel movie called “Doctor Strange” for 2 hours. Doctor Strange is one of the marvel movies and it’s about a guy who is a doctor but then he is driving one day and another car knocks him off of the road. Then he finds out that his nerves in his hands have something wrong with them. So he goes to this place that helps his hands get better. At the place that he goes to they teach him self defence and how to make portals with your fingers.
When i’m done watching the movie I read a cool book that i got at the airport called “Keeper Of The Lost Cities.” for the last 3 hours. Im done reading and…I hear a sound But it’s just the plane landing, I am so excited to be out of the plane that i do a little dance in my seat. Everyone walks off the plane one at a time eager to get to where they want to be.
I get off the plane and go to the car rental place at the airport. It’s very big and there are a LOT of cars. I rent a honda and drive to my hotel.
The next day I decided to go to the library to check out a book and to meet some new people. The library is very big and I see someone sitting in the comic book section. I go over to her and ask her, “Hello I’m Alexa do u wanna be friends? But she says “No I’ve got better things to do then hang out with you”. I walk away feeling sad.
I get to my hotel and order room service very sadly. When it gets here I am so hungry to eat my mashed potatoes and gravy. It tastes good and it reminds me of home and to call my mom. I called her and told her all about my day including when I went to the library and what car I rented. In the morning I feel better than last night and go to the movies hoping that it will make me feel better and that I can try to meet someone else.
At the movie theater I buy some popcorn and go to my seat . I’m watching the commercials before the movie and someone walks up carrying her icey but then she trips on the chair and the icey spills all over both of us. We both start laughing and then she says “I’m so sorry, here let me clean up”. We both clean up the big icey mess and sit in our seats that are actually right next to each other. Then finally the movie starts! We are watching Wonder Woman because that is the only movie that sounded good to watch. About halfway through the movie the girl sitting next to me asks me what my name is so I say “I’m Alexa, what’s your name? “I’m Sarah, Sarah cooper. I moved here from Oakland a few months ago. It’s really weird at first because you don’t know anybody, so um do you wanna be friends? I say “Sure that would be great.
After we finish watching the movie, We walk outside of the movie theater and I see my mom standing right next to the door of the theater! “ I ask her why she is here and she says “well when you called me last night you seemed sad and I wanted to surprise you and who is this person? “Oh that’s my friend Sarah that I met at the movie earlier, I was thinking that she could come to our house ? My mom says “That would be great how about we take the next flight back to the jungle and Sarah can stay there and have dinner for a little while.
Sarah says yes to going to the jungle so in the morning we get on the flight back to the jungle.
Sarah has dinner at my house and when she leaves the next day i tell her “Ty for being my friend even though i was new i will never forget you. :))))
