The Fun of I am From

  I am from a big mountain with the fresh morning breeze and the chirping of birds that fill me with joy.

   I am from a large backyard with lots of space and a balcony with chairs to relax in to embrace the space.

    I am from a great neighborhood with neighbors you could imagine, saying, “why don’t you come over” to       “come and join us for dinner.”

     I am from another house close to the bay and near a beach where I love to play.

      I am from a place so close to everything you could just walk. From restaurants with almost every food you desire.

       I am from when you walk down the street you stop when you get the smell of fresh cookies being baked.

        I am from long, relaxing breaks where my whole family comes together to celebrate and have a big feist with all the food you can imagine.

         I am from buying a large, bushy tree every Christmas.

          I am from having a Christmas dinner with my family no matter where we are in the world.

           I am from going on phenomenal vacations during breaks. From wintery slopes of Colorado to the excruciating heat of Athens, Greece.

            I am from Stuffing on Thanksgiving to having a turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy with some homemade cranberry sauce on the side.

           I am from “can you please help me with the cats” and “can you hurry up and feed them.”

          I am from my parents asking, “can you help me with dinner” and “can you please make the salads,” To “clean up your room.

         I am from will you please stop playing video games and go play with your brother.”

        I am from Folding my clothes and making my bed, and being told to go to read a book.

       I am from being asked for money leftover from the food I had just purchased.

      I am from rib eye steak I get on a rare occasion to having a cheesy quesadilla that fills my nose with warm, cheesy goodness.

     I am from the steam coming off of a fresh roll of bread to the freezing cold piece of pizza that I don’t care              enough to warm up.

    I am from the delicious sushi I get every Tuesday, and the great taste of a California roll that warms my insides.

   I am from the solf, gooey pineapple pastry that steams with the most delicious smells you can imagine.

That is what I am from.
