The Cat Chase

As I was walking  Pun made a big “MEOW.” What could  it be? Pun doesn’t usually get that excited?

“What is it Pun? Do you want fish? Pun where are you going!?” I tried to stop Pun from running, but he pulled on his leash and then… HE BROKE THE LEASH! He darted over to a cat and leaped over a rock. I felt his fur shoot past me. I trembled in fear. What if he really ran away since he didn’t have a leash.

“C’mon. ” I collapse like a pile of melted butter. “Not in the gorse bushes Going in there is like stepping on a pile of shark teeth.” I thought. “Why there Pun.” What am I supposed to do, step in a pile of shark teeth like things. I don’t even wanna know how many prickles are in there.

Well let’s think. I guess I’ll put up some posters. So I can find someone who might help get Pun out.

“Alright Pun you stay there.” I walked towards my house and I got some printer paper. I made a poster saying, “Cat in the gorse bushes. Help get him out. reward 50$.”

“Alright there we go”  I print a bunch of copies then hang them up all around our neighborhood. I go back to where Pun is “Good pun” pun is still there. I see someone trot over to me.

“Hi, I can get the ca-.” Pun made a loud “grrr” “It’s gonna ATTACK ME I BET.” They darted away like a squirrel running from a fox. Great now no one will get pun hmm? I have steak, fish, wait FISH!

“Ok I will get you out,” I said. I quickly ran over to my house. My fists are red. I clench my fingers and my stomach feels like it wants to erupt. this is taking so long and Pun might not even THANK ME FOR IT. I got out my fish I caught earlier.

“You seem in a hurry,” my mom says. “Do you want some tea? “No, not now Mom. I grab the fish and I bolt out the door, like a thunderbolt. Ok. I take a deep breath. This better work. “Ok here pun do you want fish? Good good” “YES PUN IS OUT.” As soon as I held out the fish, Pun gobbled up the fish in two bites. I jump up and down, my face brightens. I spin in a circle.

I burst with joy. I exploded with excitement and I hopped all the way home. “What is it?” “Pun got stuck in the gorse bushes.” “Ok now I can have tea mom.”

As I drank the tea My face brightened,  all my worries were washed away and my mind filled with happy memories. My anger was washed out to sea.  “Can I go take Pun on a walk again? I won’t let him run away this time.” “Ok” says my mom.

I stroll over to Billy Goat hill with Pun. The breeze is blowing in my air like a storm without any rain. I leaped over a ledge and climbed my way up to the top of Billy Goat hill.

The afternoon breeze swept over my hair as I hopped up a ledge. The leaves started turning red and brown. “Hi Edward.”“Hi Ike,” says Edward. “Windy day isn’t it?” he says as a gust of wind blows past me and sweeps up the leaves. “Probably should go back now,” I said. When I got home I realized that I don’t have anything to worry about. Since I got Pun out. All of a sudden I woke up and it was ALL  A DREAM. The End
