Tess’s Fifth Grade Story

Hi I am Tess and this is my fifth grade story. By the way  I have brown eyes and black hair.

I wake up with butterflies in my stomach. It’s the first day of school. I jump out of bed and go downstairs. I see a big plate of pancakes waiting for me. I shovel all of my food in my mouth.I grab my jacket and backpack and run out the door. I walk into the classroom and sit next to a girl. I see the label on her desk and it says Abby. I look at her and say hi she just sits there like I didn’t say anything.I start to think maybe something is bothering her like maybe she is going through a sad time.

After class I ask her how old are you, she quietly says 11. I am13. I start thinking she is very shy. This Keeps going on for days and days but she starts to grow out of it. But then she gets stronger and I see her bullying everyone.

I start to think that she might just be a bit sad about something but several months passed and Abby is still bullying people.

Now I am thinking she is just too lonely but everyone else thinks she is just mean but I don’t feel that way because I am not the one getting bullied. But then I see that she is bullying one person more often than the others. I realize she is bullying the really shy girl named Emma.

She just left her old school in New York. After a couple days pass she starts becoming friends with some people and I think she has stopped bullying but no, she keeps bullying everyone and now with all her friends.

Emma starts getting bullied more and more and it never stops. But one day they start bullying me. I didn’t do anything because I thought she would stop after a few days. Then I see her looking at me and whispering to her friends and laughing. I start to get mad but I can’t do anything because I’m in math class with mrs.Runnington. After class I start to walk over to them and then I say…

Nothing I can get the words out of my mouth. People start looking at me and after 5 seconds EVERYONE starts laughing. My stomach starts to shrink. I feel so embarrassed. I ran away into the courtyard.

Abby’s Friends look at Abby and say this is not right and they leave. Abby feels bad but then gets over it and keeps bullying people.

After a bit Emma comes over and sits next to me. She asks me why I am here. I say everyone started laughing at me.

Emma says “that happened to me,that is why I am so scared of Abby”

“that makes sense” .

I ask her if she wants to meet at the bus stop after class. She says yes and we say bye and go to art class.

After art class I ran over to the bus stop. I have a big smile on my face when I see her.

We talk about how Abby is so rude and mean, then I get an idea we could stand up to her together. We start to think about ideas at lunch time. After school we give each other our emails and go back home. We start texting each other about my ideas. The next day when she is bullying someone we walk up to her and we s

“What do you think you’re doing?”

She turns around and looks up to us with a scared look on her face and her friends do too. Abby says in a sassy way“nothing”

I say“well what are you doing to Ella.”

She says “why do you need to now.”

I tell her “listen we all know what you’re doing,  and it’s rude.”

Abby cunfest “Fine.”

She walks away sadly.i feel bad but proud at the same time. The next day I see Abby in the corner looking very sad. I feel what she feels like so she walks over to help her out. I start to say that we could be really good friends. So we start hanging out more. I see her bullying here and then.I get worried that she will never stop. So she keeps asking Abby why she is doing this. But she just said…

“Why do you need to know?”

I say loudly “because I am worried about you.” Abby Pauses.

“Oh…I never thought about it that way.”a silence  goes across the room.

I ask her “Is anything bothering you?”Abby says

“well yes…ever since my mom died” she sighed.

“Oh.” I say. “Is there anything I can do?”

“No.”said Abby with a sigh. I say “well it will be fine just don’t think about it. Think about it as a lion trying to get out of the cage, you are the lock and the tiger is your tears, you can get through this trust me.”

“Ok.” Said Abby.

Abby went on to music feeling better. Some people laughed at her but I told her just ignore it because they can’t do anything to you.be yourself because you are beautiful just the way you are.

She felt better after that, she had a big smile on her face. We walk home together and apparently she lives right next door to me. I leave early so I don’t see her walking home.

We ask for a sleepover and they say yes!!! “From now on I will never bully anyone again.” Said Abby

“Thanks for being there for me abby.” I say with a smile

“ call me Gabby.” “Why?” I ask

“ that is my real name.” “ Wait, Abby is your nickname?”I ask confusedly,

“Yes.” Says Gabby in a calm voice.

“ok.” A bit later Isay. “ like the name Gabby. Why did you change it?” “Because i didn’t like it.” “ well i love it”I say “thanks” .we drifted off into our dreams. I am glad i will see her tomorrow.
