Sonia Sotomayor

Early Years

Sonia Sotamior was born in New York City. At age eight she was diagnosed with diabetes. Diabetes is when you can’t digest foods or sugar. When she had diabetes she had to take shots everyday of her life to keep her healthy, and moving forward. 

Life as an Adult 

Sonia was a Supreme Court Justice. It was important to her because she was the first Latina woman of color to become a Supreme Court Justice. It was very exciting when she found that out. When you are Supreme Court Justice you have to be a good judge and make the right decisions so the world can be a better place.You also have to be a good boss in order to make good decisions at good times. Sonia did this very well!

Accomplishments 

At first Sonia wasn’t always a judge. She had to work hard to become a Supreme Court Justice.

Conclusion

Sonia persisted by overcoming her illness which was a very bad sickness. She was a changemaker because she inspired girls and boys to follow their dreams and show justice.
