“DAD raccoons are coming, 3 waves of them. Close the cat door quick or the stinky, evil, and monstrous raccoons will steal the granola bars and litter our yard with a mountain of granola bar wrappers” Alex said. “Those darn raccoons. Why do they steal our granola bars? They could just find their own food.”
Alex says “I’m sick of the raccoons stealing the granola bars” then he notices that there is a trail. Alex decides to follow the trail to get the granola bars back.
Alex notices the granola bars lead to the mountain. When Alex reached the mountain Alex saw more granola bar wrappers that went up the mountain.
Alex was shocked that the raccoons went up that very dangerous mountain. The mountain has caves, extreme rivers and prickly bushes. It was the last place on the planet that Alex wanted to go.
But Alex wanted badly to find out why the raccoons were stealing the granola granola bars so Alex decided to go up the mountain . So the journey begins.
Up ahead was a river. It was cold, deep and large. Alex noticed that a tree log bridge went across the river that had raccoon footprints on it and granola bar rappers on it. Alex looked at it in shock. Could raccoons make bridges? Sadly raccoons are small so raccoons make small bridges and the bridge was a log.
Alex decided there was no other option so he jumped in the river. It was freezing cold like an ice cube. When Alex reached the other side his hands were numb. Then Alex noticed a trail of wrappers leading to some bushes. When he got halfway there two raccoons popped out of the bushes, growled and puffed themselves up. They looked at Alex, saw how tall he was and ran away.
Alex saw that the trail of wrappers is now headed for a cave that was at the top of the mountain. Alex thought maybe the raccoons are in there. So he walked up and entered the cave. It was as dark as a black hole. Alex could not see anything and tripped on a rock. ”I think my eyes will adjust soon,” said Alex. The cave was like a maze with weird symbols. Alex noticed that the weird symbols were claw marks from the raccoons. “Do they have a secret language?” Alex asked himself. Alex decided to take a closer look and saw some claw marks were pointing up and some were pointing to the side. Alex realized these marks were the way to get through the cave.
When Alex got through the cave, he saw something up ahead. He saw lots of raccoons doing arts and crafts with the wrappers and others singing songs. Alex realized something that he didn’t before. They needed granola bars to survive. So he decided to head home.
Now Alex doesn’t mind when the raccoons take his granola bars and leaves the raccoons be. Sometimes he will even give them some granola bars.
