Professional Talent

“Everyone has talent. What’s rare is the courage to follow it to the dark places where it leads.” That meaningful quote by Erica Jong, an American novelist, satirist, and poet, was a hard-hitting quote for a lot of people. To have talent as an athlete can get you a long way. One key to success is believing. You need to have talent to be a professional athlete. Though you might think athletes don’t need skills, and some might be really bad, if none of them had talent, they wouldn’t be there playing in front of thousands of people. Most of them are there in front of you because of believing.

Talent isn’t about how good you are now. It is about how good you can be and want to be. You have to be better than everyone else to be realized. There are many sports and all look for talent. Everyone looks for skills. No matter what job you have. But I am focusing on the job as an athlete. I know this job requires a lot of talent. If you are good enough, talent could get you to a good college, then to a professional contract. Being really good at a sport can get people to see you more. They will realize that you could go a long way. I know that scouts honestly look, particularly for good athletes. That means you have to be a good athlete or at least good enough to get to the next level.

Once you pick a sport, you need to practice a lot. Talent can be complex, but will never reach the max level. You might feel that you just can’t take any more practice, and need to take a break. That is okay because everyone feels that way. Sometimes earning talent is hard and not at all easy. If you take a break don’t make it too long or you might forget how and what to do. You need to always get better. If you are some sort of comfortable with your talent and power in a sport then try to present it. I mean go show someone, and see what they think about it. It is always good to have many opinions about your talent. It is never good to keep your it to yourself, so go show it off, but do not brag too much or no one will like your attitude. I know that talent can always grow. You can always keep practicing and getting better. You can always be that athlete you’ve always wanted to be, with a little practice.

Now, let’s say that you get into a good college as an athlete. That means you’ve got talent. Times in life you are going to step up as a leader, not a follower. You’ve got to lead your team to success. I personly always try to step up as a leader. The road to success isn’t a straight line. Young athletes who are seeking to get into major sports need to have more talent/skill, with that, they are going to have bumpy roads that aren’t easy. Especially when you are leading a team. At all times, you have to remember to never quit and to try your best. Keep working on being a leader. Leaders are the most powerful people on a team. They lead the team to victory and success. And keep showing people your talent and skill, because they will realize you and what you’re worth to the athletic world.

Well, if you try out all of my advice, you should end up somewhere you want to be and have wanted to be. You can always add more challenges and things you think will help you personally anytime. In the future, in your future, I wish you luck to get you where you want to be.
