One stormy night a boy named Roy got an idea. He rushed down the hall.
He told his mom “i want to go to universal studios!”His mom was very surprised she had never knew he would want to go there.
Hello my name is Roy.I’m nine years old and I live in a small house with my mom and dad.I am in third grade.My mom works at an office that helps make shops and my dad is a producer.That means he helps make movies.I go to Roosevelt elementary school.
My mom asked ”why would you want to go to universal studios?”
roy said “because I want to go on all the rides!”
His mom said “Ok you can but you have to earn the money for the ticket.”Now go to bed it’s getting late!”
Roy rushed up the hall and went to bed. The next morning he got dressed and looked up how much the tickets were.They cost 100 dollars.
he shouted” Holy cow that’s a lot of money!” He flumped into his bed face down in to his pillow.
That was almost how much money he had in his allowance! So he waved goodbye to his mom and got on the bus. There was a big math test in school when he was half way through the test when he got an idea he decided to mow his neighbors’ lawns. After school he went home and got to work. The first person he went to his neighbor Mr.Lawrence. He knocked on the door and asked him if he wanted his lawn mowed”well sure!i think it’s about 4 inches tall!he says where’s the mower?’’ He asks “over there”i point to the corner behind the fence “alright well get started then”goes inside SLAM!!!! The door almost took my face with it.
”Well” i say. ‘‘i better get to it!”I try to make the lawn mower start by yanking the motor string then it starts i start going across the lawn,with the lawn mower.
”man this is hard” i say. This what it was like dad was a kid when all those parents had their kids mow their lawns all day and all they get is a dime.
”I said well I better get back to work,” I say”.20 minutes later i was finished i rang the doorbell and told mr.lawrence and said i was done he looks at the lawn
“well done!”he says and hands me 15 dollars.
“Thank you”!i tell him thank you he says bye i say and walk home my mom asked me how it went and i tell her she says she was very proud of me i walked into my room and and play some video games for 20 minutes.
The next day after school when i got home it was empty. No one was home so i set down my backpack and walked over to Mr.madway’s house he went up to his front steps and rang the doorbell the door creaked open and stood a very tall man ‘‘good afternoon’’he said ‘‘good afternoon’’ i said ‘‘do you want your lawn mowed?’’ I asked ‘‘sure i’ll pay you 60$!” “thanks i told him” “your welcome” and went to get my mower and got to work 30 minutes later I rang his doorbell and he opened the door and said “did you finish?” “Yep!” I said amazing here you go and hands me 60$ “thank you!” I stammer and dashed to my house your wel-but I’m already gone i count my money and i had 105$ YES!! I shout jumping up and down. I go on my computer but then all the tickets were sold out! He thought he might die he just got 100$ for nothing.At dinner he told his mom what happened she said “oh dear” she said.The next day he trudged into the living room and turned on the tv but there was a note and ticket he got up from the couch and read it it said have fun and he saw the ticket he almost fainted it was a universal Studios ticket he was so happy the in 1 milla second later he started packing.When his mom got home he hugged her so tight she couldn’t breath ‘‘thank you,thank you,thank you,thank you!’’ he said y-your w-w-welcome she said all right she said “let me pack!” The next day they’re in universal Studios.
