I am from countless ever-changing homes
A home by a beach was the first
Falling asleep hearing the waves
Plane trip to a new world
A home on a peaceful river
Watching big construction machines working away
Flying from that river house
That lovely small home going to a nice home on top of a hill
I come home to my cats them meowing for pats
My parents separate
Coming home to another new home
Up in the sky looking over San Francisco
Going from home to home
From seeing my cats to seeing the city
I am from a place where I have a dream
Of becoming someone, I am not
That person may never be me
But I hope that they will
This person is an architect
One that likes to build modern homes
The one home I strive to design is a building
On the edge of a waterfall with spiral staircases
I am from a family that loves eating
Weetabix when the sun first shows itself
Feeding my cats
Hearing their meows
Vegemite toast when the sun is as high as it can fly
Listening to a podcast on the sunbed
Spaghetti bolognese watching the sun’s last flames flicker away
Sitting on the sofa seeing a show play on
Weetabix as the sun’s rays are back
Saying good morning to my dad
Missing my cats
Going to my room
Chatting, relaxing
Sitting and hearing the quiet
I am from a family that starts every year with something joyous
My funny family
Spending fantastic times together
Everyone
In the same house
I feel so happy with them all
And before a movie
We make cookies!
They taste like I am biting
A sunset of warm sweetness
Watching My Neighbor Totoro
Is the last thing we do every year
I am from a place where people say
“You like jazz” a bit too much
It can be a bit annoying
Almost all the time
It gets on my nerves
But not all the time
Sometimes I can laugh it off
I am from two different worlds
One with cute cats and a cozy home
A fantastic view of the city is there too
The other with no pets but a luxury view
A big hall to run up and down, annoying everyone
Both homes are relaxing as you look out their views and hear their quietness
This is where is am from
