Chapter 1

Break time was loud Mia could barely hear her teacher silencing the class but she sat down just in time (“wow what a break”) Mia’s best friend Hailey said. (“I know right”)Mia replied.The rest of the day was great Mia had art and writing class. Two of her favorite classes and soon the day came to an end.  She rode home on the school bus when she opened the door to her house Goldie came running and jumped on Mia .Goldie was Mia’s goldendoodle Mia laughed as Goldie licked her face(“Goldie stop”) Mia said playfully Goldie stopped Mia hung up her things and went to her room her cat Selma was a sleeping in her  bed (“oh sel”)thought mia she sat on her bed when her sister  rachel walked in(“look who’s home”) rachel said snobbishly Rachel was 12 years old three years older then mia. Mia didn’t reply.

Chapter 2

 Mia came down for dinner. It was meatloaf night, Mia’s second favorite night of all. Meatloaf was one of her favorite foods. She especially loved to eat the mashed  potatoes and peas. She was always excited  to see theBIG meatloaf with salty mashed potatoes and peas. But to her surprise there was no meatloaf, no mashed potatoes and no peas, just a GIGANTIC chicken  pot pie with a side of pot roast. Mia hated pot roast so did Rachel but both of them pretended to love it. (“Um what happened to meatloaf night”)Mia asked(“yeah what’s with the pot pie and roast”) Rachel agreed (“well first of all the pot roast is an appetizer. And I thought you guys loved pot pie .”)mia’s mom asked (”we do it’s just we were hoping for meatloaf tonight that’s all”)mia answered.she sat down at the table (“your mom and i have an announcement to make”)Dad explained (“well what is it”) mia asked (“please don’t tell me you’re having another baby”) rachel pleaded mia had recently gotten a baby brother named Jamie who was only nine months and two weeks old (“relax its not that”)mom assured (“well”)mia asked again (“were moving”) dad announced (“really where to”) rachel asked (“Tahoe”) mom replied (“for how long”)mia asked (“for good”)dad replied mia came to a dead stop. 

Chapter 3

That night mia lay in bed unable to fall asleep she stared at the ceiling she felt as if in her head lay a hurricane of thoughts but the room sat still as she tossed and turned  in bed .the next morning she watched as all the stuff were boxed up she watched as everything disappeared she watched as the house became empty  Mia’s mom walked up to her (“go to your room and pack please we’re leaving tonight ”)she said without saying anything mia went up to her room she pulled out a suitcase From under her bed as she was packing she came across a picture of her with Hailey at the park when they were six she started thinking about how she’d never see the park Again and how she’d never see hailey again. She finished packing and carefully rolled her suitcase down the stairs. She placed it with the other suitcases there were about seven of them including Mia’s.mia turned around and saw that her mom was holding a huge box full of Mia’s toys (“ hey mom what are you doing with my things”) asked Mia(“well sorting them of course”) her mom replied (what do you mean sorting”)(“ well you didn’t think we were going to take every single one of your toys”) Mia sighed 

Chapter 4

Mia was woken up in the middle of the night to go to the airport (“hurry hurry we can’t miss the plane it’s a 14 hour ride”) Mia’s dad yelled.Mia sluggishly changed into her

 clothes  and rushed out the door and she and her family jumped into the taxi Jamie was still sleeping Mia was amazed what a deep sleeper he was. Once they reached the airport they start unloading the taxi . Soon they rushed into the airport and boarded the plane. (“ mia sweetie would you like to watch a movie on the plain tv in front of your seat”)her mom asked (“no thanks”) answered mia the plane ride was long but soon it landed the next morning at lunchtime (“i am so not going on a plane trip that long ever Again”)Rachel announced mia just stared at Tahoe speechless

Chapter 5

(“Well here we are’’)said dad (“our new home”) said Mom .Mia walked into the house it was warm and big it had 3 bedrooms whereas her old house had only 2 there was a kitchen a living room a tv room downstairs and it came with a warm pool and a jacuzzis it was about 4 stories (“this house is so cute I’ve got to send pics of it to my friends Back home”) Rachel squealed . Mia surveyed the house (“everything alright sweetums”)asked her mom (“I’m fine this is all just a little overwhelming”)mia answered (“don’t worry about a thing you just need to get used to this”) mom said mia nodded she walked up to the room that was meant to be hers and lay down on the bed she looked at the ceiling then closed her eyes.

Chapter 6

Mia was woken up by her mom early in the morning seven Am (“mom it’s Saturday why did you wake me up so early”)mia asked (“were going to meet someone who’s going to be in your new school she’s your age”) her mom replied mia froze a wave of worry and nervousness flooded in her mind and then spread to her stomach she changed into warm clothes  Tahoe was very cold . For breakfast she had a croissant then she and her family met up with the people (“hi I’m Gracie what’s your name”) asked the girl (“I I’m mia n nice to meet you“) mia stammered (“nice to meet you”) Gracie replied mia and Gracie had a lot in common  they both came from Italy they both loved pizza ands garlic bread for lunch they had risotto then mia waved goodbye and she and her family went home mia sat in her room the next day it snowed mia ran outside to play then at school she saw Gracie and ran over to her they became best friends mia new that everything was going to be great she loved her new home  she had a great feeling about life and new that this was her home but shed never lose sight of her old one
