Chapter 1

There once was a kid named Lago.  He had a pet giant fish named Croak he got at the aquarium.  Then he got to go back to the aquarium and get another pet.  He told his mom if he could get a pet at the aquarium and his mom said yes.

Chapter 2

Lago and his mom went to the car.  They went in.  Lago’s mom turned on the music and Lago said, “Let’s go!”

When they got there Lago said, “I am going to get a surprise for Croak.”  

“Okay,” said his mom.  “What pet do you want?”

“I know!  We’ll get a spike fish,” said Lago.

“Okay,” said mom.  So they went in.

When they walked in, Lago saw lots of creatures.  Then he saw a glint of orange. “Wow!” he said.  “That was the color of a spike fish.”

When Lago’s mom asked the aquarium’s keepers if they had a spike fish, the aquarium’s keepers said no.

“On no!” said Lago and his mom at the same time.  

Then a keeper came, “Here’s your spike fish!”

Said Lago, “Oh!”

When Lago and his mom got home he rushed to his room.  Then he heard Croak say, “I am lonely.” “Good cuz I have a spike fish for you.”
