Keep Kindness

“I long as every human being,To be at home wherever I find myself.” Quote by Maya Angelou. When I think of this quote I think of feeling safe and cared for. Kindness goes into being safe and cared for. Kindness is one important thing. And that’s what I’m gonna be talking about today.

Just think of the people that were kind to you. Doesn’t it make you happy?

It’s not always easy to be kind but it is important to be kind because it does not only impact you but the people around you too.I know that we all have been learning to be kind since… forever, but it’s one very important life skill you need to know how to do.

I sometimes  struggle to be kind, But every time I am kind,it’s so amazing what you can do with kindness. Giving kindness is a simple thing that passes on a smile to everyone. Even just the small things work. Like holding in your strong emotions.  If you don’t, That can get someone really angry. Like when I am playing basketball and one of my teammates turns the ball over, instead of yelling at her I say “it’s ok to get back on defence.”

Kindness goes as you give it and comes back just like a boomerang.

We all have problems in life. Kindness helps you get through your problems. Like when someone is mean to you…  WHAT DO YOU DO?!? Do you just sit there and do nothing, be mean back, Or stand up for you or someone else? I usually just sit there and say nothing. You may think that standing up for someone is rude to the other person but it really isn’t. It just gives them a warning to stop.

And when I don’t say anything  I still have those mean words stuck in my head for a long time and I just can’t knock it out of my head. And I wonder, should I  have said something or did I do the right thing?  Most of the time I regret my decision for saying nothing.

I think that I should have spoken up. So I would not have those mean words in my head. Be the  kindness you want to receive , and do what you believe. Kindness is confusing and complicated and sometimes even hard but it’s your job to decide what you do and in the end it’s all worth it.
