Early Years
Frida Kahlo was born in 1907. One day at school she got really sick and the sickness that she got was polio. She had to stay in bed all day and drew pictures to pass the time. Frida loved animals. She had three monkeys,three dogs, two turkeys, an eagle, a black cat, a baby deer, and a parrot as pets.
Life as an Adult
Frida Kahlo got really hurt in a car crash when she was 18 years old. She felt a lot of pain in her life. Frida met a famous artist named Diego Rivera. They married. Later she broke up with him. Frida died in 1954 at the age of 47. She didn’t become famous until after her death.
Accomplishments
Frida’s first solo exhibition took place in New York.Frida’s paintings are now displayed in museums all over the world. In 2001 Frida Kahlo was the first Latin person to be honored with a U.S. postal stamp.
Conclusion
Frida inspired others to be painters. She persisted by painting lots of paintings even though there was lots of pain in her life. Frida Kahlo was a changemaker because she inspired others.
