Expectation vs. reality,

The American Dream,

Your life will be so much better,

That is a guarantee.

All of the Hollywood stars,

And the beautiful New York skyline you will visit,

Taking family trips through the Grand Canyon,

Fulfilling that marvelous dream.

But in reality that is not the case,

Deportation, poverty, racism you name it,

Not knowing how to begin,

Or if there will ever be an end.

An end to your American Dream,

A good one that is,

One that you will probably not reach,

Because this country is not fair.

That is expectation vs. reality.
