“Dad I’m going to the party,” I shouted as I ran to the door.

“Okay I’ll be there in five,” my dad said.

“Okay meet you there.”

I went downstairs to get Nieve, she was putting her shoes on.

“Come on Nieve let’s go to the party.”

“Okay let me just get my shoes on!”

We ran up the block, it was tiring but finally we got there.

“Hi everyone sorry were late,” I said as I was panting from running up the block.

“No worries at least your here!” George said smiling.

“This is my friend Nieve!”

“Hi,” Nieve said shyly.

“Hello nice to meet you Nieve!”

Sophie, George’s daughter, was there and we were  making a IMovie together. Nieve was in the movie as my best friend Elizabeth. I asked Sophie if she could film.

She said she had homework and acting class till six but then we could.

I agreed.

Nieve wanted to get her jacket from my house, but I did it because I wanted to get the scooter from there.

“Hey Nieve do you want some pizza that George just made?” asked Michel our neighbor.

“Sure, and oh where is the other Michel and leni?”

He explained that they were at the beach going surfing, she had a feeling that was right. 

“Oh hi Goldie you got it so fast.”

“Yeah and oh I forgot to tell you there’s a new movie on Netflix that I think you would really like.”

“Oh okay, let me just get a piece of pizza.” Nieve said.

“Okay, meet you there.”

A  few minutes later Nieve heard a scream.

“Oh no!”

“Wait, that sounds like Goldie!” Nieve said as she ran as fast as she could down the block. “What what  happened?” “Are you okay!”

“Yeah I’m fine but Sprinkles was out side this hole time!” I said.

“Oh no.”

“Yeah I no, now lets get Sprinkles inside.”

“Yeah.”

When I opened the door of course David was at the door. We pushed him out of the way so that we could get Spinkles inside without him escaping too, but then David ran out side!

“Oh no!” I said.

“Oh my gosh, David is fa-ast!” Nieve said running after him. All of a sudden David started climbing up the tree! I went down to the basement to get my dad and of course dad was watching a cop show with Arthur. 

“Dad!” I said. “David climbed up the tree!”

“DAVID CLIMBED THE TREE!” Arthur said yelling.

“Yeah he climed up the tree Arthur.” He sprinted out the back door. My dad was walking out I did not no why he wasn’t panicking but he said everything is going to be alright, so I ran ahead of him. When I got to the front Nieve was jumping really high and trying to see if she could spot him in the tree, and Arthur was trying to clime it! I heard water turn of and then I realized my mom was in the shower! I ran upstairs. I said come down as fast as you can, then ran back down stairs and my dad was there so I filled him in on how it happened and he said it was going to be alright.

All of a sudden I heard a car pull up it was our neighbors Michel and Leni. I ran over there and asked Michel if we could use his seven foot ladder and he said of course so we put it against the tree and but it wasn’t big enough! Tears started forming in my eyes and I felt water slowly rolling down my cheeks. A crowd of people started forming and next thing we know the hole block was there!

Now Arthur was climbing the tree.

 “Arthur get down from there!” I shouted.

 “No, I want to get David!” he shouted.

But all of a sudden David scratched  Arthur right in the nose and then Arthur tripped on a twig!

He took a fall but then a big branch was in the way so he was all right. Then Arthur jumped off  the tree! Luckly it was only a couple feet high.

He only had a few cuts and bruises. 

Mom finally came down! “Mom!” I shouted,

“David climbed up the tree and we’ve tried everything to get him down and we cant!” I felt tears rolling down my cheeks again. Then all of a sudden I heard feet sprinting really loud and it sounded like it was coming towards us! It was just Arthur.

I thought I knew what he was coming over here to say but he said something different.

“Mom can we call the Fire Department, please, please, please, please!”

Of course Mom was going to say no, right?

“Well they have big ladders,” she said like she was thinking out loud. “Oh I suppose.”

I could NOT, believe what I just heard, I could tell Arthur was excited, really exi but also worried for David.

“OH MY GOODNESS I’m so excited and so nervous!” Arthur said.

Mom was on hold with then, right as they answered my dad started climbing the tree! Arthur was yelling at him and saying “Mom is calling the Fire Department” but he kept climbing! I was getting scared, really scared. I wanted to talk to Nieve because I hadn’t seen her in a wile but I couldn’t find her any where! 

Finally I saw her sitting on the concrete next to my neighbor Joe’s Garden so I ran over there to check on her but she wouldn’t answer!

I’d wonder why but then she finally spoke!

“Hi.”

“Hi Nieve what’s wrong?”

“Nothing.” 

“Really what’s wrong?”

“I just really want a cat and I could not imagine what I would do if my pet was in a tree.”

“Oh he’s going to be okay but do you want to come out and watch Barrett try to climb the tree?” I said cause I wanted to lighten the mood.

“Sure!”

We walked over there but Dad was still climbing! Then out of no where David was in my dads arm’s!

“David your okay!” I shouted. Arthur sprinted over there to pet David and mom was hugging him. We were all so exited but we did not want it to happen again so we put him inside.

I locked the screen door. Nieve and I were walking over the couch and right as we sat down we heard sirens coming up the block. We ran out side.

“Did you guys get him out of the tree?” An Australian fire men said peeking out the window.

“Yeah sorry to waste your time.”

“No worries this was the most exciting call we’ve hade for a long time!” The fire man said.

“Thank you for coming anyways.”

“No problem,” he said.

They started driving down the block then we heard a honk, honk. “This was a weird day,” I said walking inside. We laid down on the couch and watched Netflix.
