Sasha was sitting in her room at the table reading a book about butterfly gardens. Sasha wants to plant one in her backyard but she doesn’t have flowers or a caterpillar . In the book you have to have flowers that bloom in different seasons. She needs to get the right flowers that bloom in different seasons to be able to have a full butterfly garden. Sasha wants to look for a caterpillar in her backyard after all she does have milkweed which is the flower monarch caterpillars eat. Sasha read that in the book. Sasha started to look for eggs or a caterpillar. She came across milkweed but still no caterpillar there. she kept looking but still nothing.       

 Sasha went inside and it was also getting dark so she couldn’t really see “ok guessI’ll try again tomorrow” said Sasha and went to bed . The next morning she woke up, got ready and started looking for caterpillars. Sasha looked under leaves, on branches on the ground everywhere she could think of. “Ugh when am  I going to find a caterpillar”? said    Sasha then she went to school.  Her head dropped  because she couldn’t find a caterpillar. After school Sasha wanted to go buy some flowers for the butterfly garden. When she came  to the store she got marigolds, sunflowers, and some popeas.When Sasha got home she planted her flowers in her backyard and watered them so that they would grow then she looked for a caterpillar again. Sasha hoped she could find one. Okay, I hope I can find a caterpillar this time” said sasha. Sasha looked everywhere but still no caterpillar. Sasha decided to wait until tomorrow when some butterflies might have arrived and layed eggs. Sasha went inside and ate dinner then went to bed. The next morning Sasha woke up and went out. It was Saturday so she didn’t need to go to school. She looked everywhere, still nothing but there were two butterflies though. Sasha decided to plant a few more plants . Sasha went back to  the store and got a few more plants “okay  got a few more plants” said Sasha. 

Sasha planted the plants that she got  then she went to golden gate park to look for a caterpillar because Sasha knew that there always were caterpillars there. Sasha went to look there she went towards the forest area she found caterpillar poop on a milkweed plant There was a caterpillar Sashas hands swung up in the air Sasha said yay she rushed home put him in a big enclosure and gave him a lot of food (he looked cold and skinny).   Sasha decided to name him Gregory. Sasha was so happy.
