Atheist: Full life, Not Half

Atheist. Confusing topic for people who are not atheists. You may not be an atheist and you believe in your god or goddess and you do not think atheism is a confusing topic well I think it is. I am an atheist so writing this essay is a way to grasp my own nature. If you search up “Atheist definition,” the first thing that comes up is the dictionary, let’s use that, it says “a person who disbelieves or lacks belief in the existence of God or gods’ ‘. It’s true correct, although it does not mean it’s not fun to learn all the myths and learn all the legends, however, it does not mean an atheist cannot enjoy life, and that’s why I’m here.

There was talking all around me, 14-15 individuals stormed the room, Julia, Sonya, and me were playing a game that I still did not understand, but I got chocolate coins so I did not make a fuss. I know I have a complicated life. I went to a Hanukkah party being an atheist now let me explain i don’t understand fully myself but supposedly hanukkah (“the victory of the Maccabees over the larger Syrian army.” says the dictionary) is religious and please imagine an atheist going to a religious party.  I didn’t really feel like I was part of the party. I was either there for the chocolate, or I didn’t go at all. When I do go, I don’t go to celebrate the religion, I go because I have to. The reason I am an atheist is because I never felt connected. I was always quiet at parties and celebrations, because I don’t understand the parties.

A quiet hum was around me as I read the greek myths book that engulfed me. As the rich culture favored the story, there are many stories that connect to the acculwal myth. I do not believe the myth but all I felt was I felt linked reading these myths. I like the food, the culture, and the celebration. It makes me feel like a bridge that was just linked. You’re saying right now this does not make sense. I feel connected to books, this is different because I’m an atheist  I could just feel connected to the bible because I feel connected because I LOVE the myth not because I have to read the tales.

Eating food is a wonderful thing, nevertheless my favorite thing about it is the culture and history of the food. I feel anybody can eat any food even if you are an atheist, I feel all food has a history. For example, honey is used in lots of things in Greece. It’s like sugar. It was very important, but let’s get back to the subject. You never think about it, but all the food that you are eating is from somewhere. Whether It’s from a culture or not it still is used and made by a culture and cooked and eaten at a party. All I know is that even though I do not believe in any God or whatever, anybody can eat any food even if you are an atheist, I still love food if I’m allowed to eat it or not.

Here we are, at the end. Before you walk away, I will have to say one thing. Don,t think atheists can’t see the big picture, because we can. We might not be able to believe in your Gods and Goddesses, but we can see, and we can believe that you can believe in your god. That is confusing, but if you get it, put down this composition!
