Dreamers
Dreamers build the greatest nations on the back of the unwilling
Dreamers through the violence and killings
Dreamers are turned down at the gates of the fabled land
Backhand slapped by the nation“s rejecting hand
Monsters protected by white picket fences
Real criminals let off for clear fatal offenses
And they tell the victims what sense is?
One piece of writing dictating excuses
Working citizens hanging from political nooses
A poor, hungry child, no shoes, torn sleeves
Still has the chance to fight for what he believes
All because he has the opportunity to dream
Dreamers
