. It was an early day at school for wings……
Judy flew into school, spreading her golden yellow wings and her bright orange beak breathing in and out.
She was there early to meet Glady, a very nice canary like her.
He said he had a wonderful surprise he hoped that she would like.
Judy while flying had been daydreaming about the play Romeo and Juliet which would take place that year. She wanted the Juliet part so badly, Glady was Romeo that year. Soon he would have to pick his Juliet for the play.
She finished daydreaming and forgot about it and flew to meet him in the east corner of the yard.
“Hi Judy, ” Glady said, sort of surprising her.
“Hi Glady” she giggled, forgetting every daydream that she had that day.
Whatcha wanna tell me?” She asked, remembering , why she had come.
“Uh umm i sort of was wondering….” Glady started.
“Wondering what?” She asked impatiently.
Suddenly three of Gladys’ friends came by , “ Hey wanna do some hoops?” One yelled.
“ Comin Josh.” Glady shouted back.
Sorry Judy, maybe another time?” He called, as Judy left annoyed toward.
Judy made hopeless attempts to get him to tell but he avoided her.
As for Glady he was being shy about asking Judy so he avoided her he did not think it would hurt her feelings.
Back to Judy.
One afternoon she asked “ Hey glady wanna talk?
” But he just said “ Can’t got too much homework. Though she knew that he never worked in the afternoons.
Every attempt did not work, not even a run to the cafe for his favorite pastry!
She grew to think this was an insult and she did not come to many lessons and worked mostly at night. Judy did not eat her snacks from the Coconut cafe at the Coconut cafe.
Judy got bored after a while so she grabbed an imaginary basket and gathered up her courage.
She went right up to Glady
“ You are meeting me at the big tree after school no excuses or friends, understand.” She tweeted real nervous and annoyed.
“Oh o o ok” Glady stammered.
Later that day..
“ So what did ya wanna tell me?” She hissed.
“ Would you like to uh be Juliet?” He stammered.
“Yes !, i would love to!” Judy tweeted blushing.
A week later Judy and Glady were walking well flying by a fence practicing lines and joking…
out of nowhere an orange ginger cat jumped out. “ Hello lunch, may I eat you now ?” “I was polite”!
The cat hissed while purring.
“Run Judy” Glady called.
“What about you?” She shot back.
“ I will distract it so you can get help.”he yelled over meowing.
On Saturday Judy zipped to the fence, flying behind she found some feathers and bones.
“No, ” she said.
No no no she flew back home and buried his bones and a feather next to her tree.
As she cried she whispered no over and over again.
The next week passing the new Romeo had been claimed his name was William and he was the nicest bird in the school. William was a blue jay with blue and white feathers and a yellowish beak.
As william and Judy rehearsed they became close friends. On the night of the play she got in her costume ignoring the teasing of jealous birds. Even after her heartbreak she kept it together.
A few hours later as the play ended it was time for the excitement to end.
He took her wing and strongly spoke to the crowd.
“ Thank you for coming and have a nice day.
They actually had a very great time after the play
and a few weeks later got married. ( Weeks can be like months or years for birds.)
Soon things got even better when Judy was pregnant.
A couple of days later she drove to the bird hospital.
The day after she came to the hospital the baby bird was born. ?
THE END
As for the little bird
She had half of her dad Williams blue feathers and white feathers , but she had her mom Judys yellow feathers and white ones too.
For the little birds her eyes were enchanting purple eyes that no other bird had ever seen, a raven jet black beak.
Her feathers were like strands of silk.
They named her Azulia Amarillo feathers.
( Feathers was the last name of William which Judy also took in.)
Her name meant Blue yellow feathers.
She was very friendly and kind hearted, everyone loved her.
The second anybody met her sweet purple eyes.
She might have been a canary jay of blue canary but it did matter latter on.
