Walking to my car when it’s just the beginning of the nerves

Thinking that making friends is going to be hard

Having a hard time thinking that I am going to school in the middle if COVID-19

Walking out of the car with all of the nerves that are there

Arriving to the classroom and immediately my teacher Eric comes and says, “Welcome in Shreya” 

Looking around feeling like everyone is looking at me

Wishing my family was nearby

Feeling scared like me wanting to run to the corner

As the days went by, it became easy

As months go by, feeling sad about my learning abilities 

As a year went by feeling positive about my learning and social abilities
