It was a hot and sunny morning in Palm Springs like it almost every day in the summer. Justin and Sally were having some watermelon out by the pool. When Justin said,“ I wish we had a dog that we could play with and let it go in the pool when it got too hot as Justin said while  daydreaming.”Mom and dad said we can not get one ever since the pool fish accident remember it ended badly .” Said Sally as she was looking at Justin with a grin on her face. “Well then we will have to show them we can.” Said Justin .”I see what you’re thinking ok fine!” “ Project to get a dog is on,”Said Justin. They went  inside to help their parents so they set the dinner table. After Justin and Sally helped clean the room. Sally moped the floor when Justin picked up the plates and glasses but… when he put them away he slipped on the floor and the plates and glasses broke. They are sad because they might not get a dog.“ Oh no!”Sally goes to help him up and get the broom to clean it up. Their parents are out by the pool, so they go out to say what happened. Their parents say “ we are not mad you guys did the right thing you tried to fix it and that is the right thing to do.” They say. “Thanks for understanding.” The next day they go out by the pool to see how hot it is when they go out back inside they said. “ where is mom and dad?” “ they are probably on a walk.” Justin said, “ oh ok.” Sally said. “ what kind of dog do you want?” “A golden retriever.’’ Said Sally. “Same!” Justin smiled at Sally. It had been an hour since their parents were gone so Justin and Sally went out to swim in the pool. When they were in the pool Justin said when they were doing a swim race,” Watch this”said Justin as he went under the water for one minute. After they have a water gun fight. Another twenty minutes later their parents come back to the house, but they do not expect their dad to have a golden retriever puppy in his hands! And the puppy is three weeks old. They take him outside. They say.” What should we name him?” Justin and Sally say. “We will name him Bubba!” “Bubba it is!” When they are outside they put the puppy in the water. “He loves the water!”They do tricks like sit, lay down, shake, roll over, fetch and speak. They have lots of fun together with Bubba. They love Bubba and Bubba loves them. They are happy with Bubba and he is happy too. When the summer had come to the end they went back to school. But Bubba came with them everywhere so they always walk with them. They are never apart from each other even when they are not home. Whenever they leave to go to school they say. “Bye good boy we’ll be home soon.” “ruff ruff !” But when they get home they always have time for him.
