In this essay you will learn that Jax the protagonist is brave because even when  he’s scared he powers through. And becomes a better person in this story he overcomes all criticism and powers through. In dragons in a bag by Zetta Elliott, the main protagonist is learning in life you must be brave sometimes. 

Jax doesn’t really know Ma at the beginning of the story but still picks to go with Ma in the time machine making that choice was brave. Making that choice to go with small even though it would be scary means that he was brave. 

Jax accidentally abandoned Ma but still makes the choice to save her even though he was scared and nervous. Which means he’s brave. She chooses to go rescue him even though he knows it could be really really dangerous play chooses to go rescue Ma because he is really brave. Zetta Elliot shows point of view in this text “i could call vik and tell him to meet me there or… i could travel to a far away world and help ma deliver those baby dragons page 54. In this situation he shows bravery with his thinking. He still doesn’t know ma that well but still chooses to go rescue ma.  

Even when he’s meeting new people he still trusts them. Even when he’s meeting new people like Vicks little sister he still trusts them and even lets her play with their dragons but she does take one which means he trusted the wrong person but he still trusted the people he just met. Zetta Elliott showed repetition when Jax was brave 2 times. Evidence is “I’ve already been left behind once today I don’t want to get left behind again. Just as Ma starts to pull the heavy door shut I call out wait I’m coming with you. I squeeze in ma pulls the door shut with a bang. Page55 number 2 is “I remember that I left ma in the jungle. My eyes fill with tears again but I quickly blink them away. I’m a helper. I gotta find a way to bring her home.” He’s being brave by trusting the people that he just met. 

In this story Jax has learned to become brave to power through the story he becomes brave by choosing to help ma to become brave. And helping many people who have met him.
