Early Years
Elizabeth I was born in the Greenwich Palace on September 7th, 1533. Her parents were King Henry and Ann Boylan. Ann was killed when Elizabeth was 2 years old. She had a younger brother named Edward and a sister named Mary. King Henry died in 1547 and Edward became king. Edward died in 1553.
Life as an Adult
Elizabeth I became Queen in 1558. She was only 25 years old! Elizabeth loved music and supported William Shakespeare. When she was 75 she died in her sleep. It was 1603.
Accomplishments
One of Elizabeth’s accomplishments was bringing back the Church of England. She also ended the war with France.
Conclusion
Elizabeth was the third oldest Queen in England. She was in prison for her Protestant beliefs. She also made laws to help the poor.
