The Cat Food Saved The Day

It started off as a beautiful morning. It wasn’t too cold or too warm. The Cohn family were out on a walk when they realized they forgot to lock the door.

“The cats could get out,” yelled Arthur.

Goldie, the youngest of the Cohn family started to run to their house as fast as she could. She felt like a stemming ball of fire. When she got home David and Sprinkles, her cats, were on the roof. She didn’t know what to do.

The rest of the family finally got home. Barret Goldie’s dad said “what should we do the cats are too high up?” Goldie stretched as tall as she could but still couldn’t reach the cats. She asked her dad to get a ladder so she could get them. She felt scared when her dad got the ladder, it was tall and wobbly. She climbed up the ladder with butterflies in her stomach and kept on going.

She got to the roof and missed the cats because Arthur started yelling “Sprinkles get down!” The cat’s spirited back farther up the roof. Goldie felt like she was going to blow up. She wanted to scream in Arthers face!!! She wanted her cats so badly. She thought and thought and thought and finally had an idea. Sprinkles and David loved the cat food they bought on Monday morning.

She went into the house and got two bole’s then she ran all the way down into the basement. She felt brave and strong. She grabbed the cat food and ran up and out of the house. She laid down the bole’s and filled them up with cat food. The cats could smell it and started to come closer and closer and finally got to the tree and started coming down. Goldie felt so happy the butterflies that were in her stomach were gone. Her family was crying with happiness. She felt like a hero, I mean she felt like a cat hero.

When she looked down at the cat food her cats were right there liking it off their faces. She picked them up with happiness gushing through her. Her mom picked up Sprinkles and Arthur grabbed David. Her dad just stood there wanting to finish the walk that we were on. We went inside and noticed it was only 3:00 so we could finish the nice walk that we were on. My dad was happy when the rest of the family wanted to finish the rest of the walk. We locked the door this time and left the house. My brother looked at me with jealousy in his eyes and and a sarcastic smile and I smiled right back at him.
