The Old Man Named Stan

Once upon a time, there was an octogenarian named Stan. He was a grandfather of five grandkids. He spent his days hiking in the countryside of London and reading three newspapers per day, so he knew what was going on in the world. After reading, he visited his grandchildren in the city. His grandchildren saw him as a gallant man. He always brought his man-purse filled with a glut amount of candy. He knew his grandchildren would eat it all. This made him happy. He loved his routine.

One day he woke up and went on his hike, but on his way home he bumped into his old girlfriend from college, Mary Lou. After college, his love had eroded. Nonetheless, he still did think about her. She still had her almost youthful look. He didn’t know what to do. Was this destiny? His head was deceiving his logic. But, he felt his heart’s tenderness. Stan still loved her. He didn’t know what to do! Did Stan really want to change his perfect routine? Stan was an old man, but he still wanted to live life. Was Stan ready?

After that, by coincidence, Stan kept on running into Mary Lou. Every time, Stan didn’t know what to do. Until one day he had enough. He needed to live life. Stan asked Mary Lou on a date to an exquisite restaurant. Stan didn’t regret anything. They bonded like nothing ever changed. Stan hadn’t felt like this in a really long time. Eleven months went by. Stan knew what he wanted to do. He loved his schedule, but he also loved Mary Lou. Stan proposed, knowing he wanted to spend his last years with Mary Lou. And I can tell you, Stan did love Mary Lou until every last second of his existence.

The End
