Beach Day

I sat there

On the shore

Of the Ocean Beach,

The sand was

As hot as

A toaster oven

I watched the

Seagulls calling

And the

Waves roll in,

As the

Tide when out,

 I noticed

the fish

swimming out.

They were the color of

The spoons

That I use to eat.

As the sun shone,

 the ocean began to gleam

as if the god of light

was out there,

Sitting on the

Twinkling horizon

holding a torch

of glimmering fire.

I went into the water

As cold as my freezer

The fish swam

Around me

Like silver stingrays

I watched the

reeds

sway

Back

And forth

They dance

As graceful as swans.
