Generation to Generation

I am from Haitian and Colombian recipes that are passed down from generation to generation.

We don’t like to eat any food with too much salt or sodium in them.

I have two moms, and I love them both. Even though my brother is annoying, I still love him and we get along pretty well.

I am from chickens wings and burritos, they are delicious and there is no way I can ever deny a shrimp burrito, and BBQ or Salt and vinegar wings.

I am from movie nights every Friday.

We eat in the living room and watch a TV show or a movie.

Whenever we go to bed, we act like Pepper (my dog) is a human and we treat him like a human.

We start getting ready for bed and we do our nightly routine. We say goodnight, head to bed, and fall asleep.

I am from a house that has two floors.

The bottom floor has the garage, bonus room (that is currently being renovated and my brother is slowly moving into it), shoe rack areas and the garden.

Upstairs there is the living room close to the front of the house, we have the hallway leading from the stairs from downstairs.

We have the dining room, the kitchen.

We have my parent’s bedroom, and my bedroom (that is currently being fixed up and moved around, like a couple of other rooms in the house).

Even if the house is a little smaller than other houses, we still appreciate how much we have.

I am from a family that loves and accepts.

One hope that I would like to achieve is singing in public because I have been told I have a nice voice.

I sing at home, but I need to learn how to sing outside of my comfort zone.

I need to push myself to sing more with other people and be comfortable with other things. I also want to get better at soccer, so I can be a better athlete.

And I also want to learn how to balance my time-management.

This is where I am from.
